Kimball H. Hunt is a founding member of Hunt Leibert Jacobson, P.C. and the Managing Partner for the Commercial Litigation Department. Attorney Hunt has over thirty years of litigation experience in nearly every major field of civil and criminal law and has argued approximately two dozen appellate cases in the Supreme and Appellate Courts of Connecticut.

Attorney Hunt guides the Commercial Litigation Department in: (1) lender prosecutions that commonly reveal an intricate network of fraudulent interactions by and between loan brokers, real estate appraisers, attorneys and sham purchasers; (2) lender redress under Title Insurance policies and Letters of Protection; (3) lender prosecution of commercial foreclosures and contested residential foreclosures; (4) lender defense involving TILA, RESPA, FDCPA , FCRA and CUTPA; and (5) related lender issues involving privity, standing, estoppel, setoff, indemnification and statutes of limitation.

In addition to his work in the courtroom, Attorney Hunt has served as a mentor to local area high school students who have expressed an interest in pursuing careers in the legal profession. Additionally, for approximately eight years, Attorney Hunt served as a coach for local area high school Mock Trial competitions, in which his teams won the Connecticut State Championship and qualified for the final quarter round on five separate occasions.

Education and Admission
Attorney Hunt received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Hampshire and a Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law.

Attorney Hunt is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Connecticut and the Federal District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Geoffrey K. Milne is a Partner in the Litigation Department and a shareholder in Hunt Leibert Jacobson, PC, Hartford, CT. Mr. Milne has been recognized as a 2011 Connecticut Super Lawyer for Business Litigation. Over 18 years, he has represented banks, mortgage companies and servicers in lender liability, mortgage fraud, title insurance and consumer related claims under title insurance policies, truth in lending, fair credit reporting, and fair debt collection. Mr. Milne earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University, Villanova, Pennsylvania and earned his Bachelors degree, cum laude, from Marist College in New York. Mr. Milne is admitted in all of the state and federal courts of Connecticut and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Mr. Milne is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars sponsored by the MBA and other organizations.

Peter A. Ventre is a Partner in the Commercial Litigation Department. Attorney Ventre has been practicing law for eighteen years with a focus on lender representation in residential and commercial foreclosures. Attorney Ventre's reported decisions include Bankers Trust Co. v. Vaneck, 95 Conn. App. 390, cert. denied, 279 Conn. 908, 901 A.2d 1225 (2006); Lucas v. Deutsche Bank Int'l Trust Co., Trustee, 103 Conn. App. 762, 931 A.2d 378, cert. denied, 284 Conn. 934, 935 A.2d 151 (2007); Sunset Mortgage v. Agolio, 109 Conn. App. 198 (2008); Gagne v. Vaccaro, 118 Conn. App. 367, 984 A.2d 1084 (2009).

In November 2010, Attorney Ventre commenced his term as the alternate to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Aquifer Protection Agency in the Town of New Hartford, Connecticut.

Attorney Ventre received a Bachelor's Degree from Western Connecticut State University and a Juris Doctor from Nova University. Thereafter, he clerked for the Honorable Stephen T. Brown, United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Florida.
